Where Within is a multimedia exhibition that explores personal experiences in public environments in the city as a reflection of the collective.
Drawing inspiration from the radical spirit of Dadaism and Fluxus—art movements that defied logic and embraced disorder as a form of protest—this project revisits their strategies within the context of contemporary urban life. While early 20th-century artists resisted the socio-political structures of their time, this project responds to the mechanized, systematized rhythms of today’s cities by placing the individual, emotional, and intuitive “human” factor at its core.
For the upcoming exhibition, we presented four different public locations: the central train station, the market, the city park, and an abandoned tunnel. We engaged with all of these places through poetics, movement, and sound. The videos capture the atmosphere of these spaces, underscored by my sound design, which consists of real field recordings of the spaces and digital music production.
Finally we exhibited our outcomes on July 10 and 11, 2025, at 674FM in Cologne, Germany.
