Breast Chest is a sculptural ceramic key hanger that blends functionality with social commentary. Shaped like a female breast, the key hangs from the nipple—turning a mundane object into a bold statement.
Initially shaped on the lathe, I found the results too uniform and instead hand-formed the final piece to achieve a more organic, realistic form. A mounting hole at the back allows the piece to rest flush against the wall.
By integrating an everyday object with a traditionally taboo form, Breast Chest challenges perceptions of intimacy and provokes dialogue around the female body, sexuality, and how they are represented in daily life.
